1. MOTION GRAPHICS SHOWING MOVEMENT OF TYPHOON KALMAEGI IN PHILIPPINES PHILIPPINES - NOV. 4: Typhoon Kalmaegi hit the Philippines after moving in from the Pacific Ocean on Wednesday, Nov. 4.

Two people were reportedly killed due to strong winds and flooding.

More than 70,000 people living in coastal areas were also evacuated to safe zones by the army.

Meanwhile, Typhoon Tino prompted authorities in the western Philippines to suspend classes, government work, and all sea travel as the region braced for its possible impact, local media reported on Saturday.

Local governments in Capiz province, in the Western Visayas region, have suspended classes and work at all levels beginning Monday due to the potential impact of Tropical Cyclone Tino, according to local media outlet Inquirer.

The Philippine Coast Guard has also suspended all sea travel in Surigao del Norte province and nearby island routes due to worsening sea conditions as the storm moves west-northwest towards the Visayas region.

The preemptive measures were implemented after the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) issued an advisory urging local residents to prepare for possible evacuation.
