CIUDAD JUAREZ, MEXICO - NOV. 12: US crews continued work on a new 9.6-kilometer secondary border wall on Wednesday, Nov. 12, between the Santa Teresa Desert in southern New Mexico and Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua.

Workers installed steel bollard sections in an area authorities describe as a hub for smuggling and migrant rescues.

Excavators created trenches east of the Santa Teresa port of entry, and cranes were positioned to place segments of the new fence, which features 9-meter-high steel bollards.
