West Midlands Police Vehicle Hits Pedestrian as Internal Police Investigation Launched
A pedestrian was injured after being struck by a West Midlands Police vehicle responding to an incident in Selly Oak, Birmingham.
The collision occurred at the junction of Oak Tree Lane and Katie Road on Friday evening.
The man, in his 30s, was taken to hospital for treatment, and the incident is now under investigation by the Professional Standards Department.

The incident happened at the junction of Oak Tree Lane and Katie Road in the Selly Oak area of the city.
Several police cars closed the road with one vehicle stopped just before a pedestrian crossing, but notably inside the cordon and not maintaining it.
The pedestrian was taken to hospital in an ambulance and remains in hospital.
West Midlands Police cordoned off the area from Bristol Road to Raddlebarn Road.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said in a statement: ‘Whilst responding to an incident on blue lights, a police vehicle was involved in a collision where a pedestrian was struck in Katie Road, Selly Oak, just before 8pm yesterday (Friday).
‘The man, in his 30s, was taken to hospital with injuries.
‘Our Professional Standards Department has been informed as is normal procedure in such circumstances.’
