Storyline: Expanded duty-free shopping boosts Hainan's appeal as tourist destination [Voice_over] This is the world's largest, standalone duty-free shopping mall, and it's just undergone an upgrade. As of November 1st, Hainan's duty-free policy has been expanded to include 47 categories of duty-free goods, including pet supplies and portable musical instruments. But for those looking for a bargain, what's the best way to shop at the duty-free? [Sound_bite] Chen Rujun, CDF Haikou customer service representative: First, you should register for our China Duty Free membership. Once you've signed up, you'll start earning points. When you shop, those points can be converted into money which is used to buy items in the store. For example, if you spend 100 yuan, you earn one point, and each point is worth one yuan. If you also have an eligible credit card, there are additional in-store promotions, such as instant discounts and bonus points. [Voice_over] Now, all travelers leaving Hainan Island – whether from China or abroad, can enjoy duty-free shopping. This is just one more reason to visit Hainan. [Restrictions: No access Chinese mainland]
