A resident in Darwin captured intense scenes as Tropical Cyclone Fina swept toward the Northern Territory on November 22, 2025. The footage shows palm trees and dense foliage whipping violently in sheets of heavy rain, with winds surging well above 140 km/h as the late-season storm closed in.

Cyclone Fina, an unusual category 3–4 system for this time of year, brought destructive gusts reaching up to 205 km/h. The storm toppled trees, damaged homes, and triggered widespread power outages across the region. Despite the severe conditions, authorities reported no injuries, crediting early evacuations and strong local preparedness for preventing casualties.
