Railway Protection Force personnel averted a major tragedy at Prayagraj railway station in Uttar Pradesh after rescuing a passenger and his minor child who nearly fell under a moving train.

The incident occurred on Sunday as Train No. 15018, the Kashi Express, began pulling out of the platform after its scheduled halt. Visuals show the passenger attempting to board the train while it was already in motion, carrying his young child in his arms.

During the risky attempt, the man lost his balance and slipped into the gap between the train and the platform. On-duty RPF personnel reacted swiftly, pulling both the man and the child to safety within seconds.

According to officials, the timely intervention prevented a potentially fatal accident. The passenger later boarded the train safely and continued his journey without further incident.

Senior railway authorities praised the alertness and dedication of the RPF staff and reiterated their appeal to passengers to avoid boarding or deboarding moving trains, urging them to wait until trains come to a complete halt and to follow all safety guidelines.
