Storyline: China completes flight test for world's largest power-generating kite [Voice_over] China Energy Engineering Corporation has recently conducted a successful test of a massive kite that will be used to develop high-altitude wind power energy. The 5,000 square meter kite was unfurled in northern China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and rose to around 300 meters. High-altitude power generation kites have tethers that are attached to a generator on the ground. Researchers said during this successful first test they were able to gather data for kite design and assembly which will lay the foundation for future endeavors.
