At a jewelry market in Ketang Town of south China's Guangdong Province, where more than 70 percent of the world's crystal products are processed, wholesalers display piles of brightly colored or clear crystals. Many sellers have reported a significant increase in crystal sales since the beginning of the year. [Sound_bite] Xie Ruolin, Head, jewellery shop: "Sales for every kind of crystal product have increased by 30 percent." [Voice_over] E-commerce live streaming, a direct sales channel to consumers, plays a major role in driving that growth. [Sound_bite] Ouyang Yuzhang, General manager, jeweler: "Livestream sales now account for about two-fifths of our total revenue. In the case of Amethyst, roughly 70 to 80 percent of sales are online."
