Motorist captures car driving with tire iron stuck in wheel on Chicago highway
Filmer Stephanie Bilharz captured this bizarre sight while driving in Chicago, Illinois, on July 31, 2026.
The video, filmed from a following vehicle, shows a white sedan traveling down a highway with a large metal tire iron (lug wrench) impaled in its rear passenger-side tire. As the car moves at speed, the heavy tool can be seen spinning rapidly with the wheel, sticking out several inches from the rubber.
It remains unclear if the driver of the white car was aware that the wrench was still attached to their vehicle.
