Sacred Heart Awakens: Majestic Buddha Statue Unveiled in Bodh Gaya, Northern India
A magnificent 20-foot Buddha statue was unveiled on December 14th on Prajna Bodhi Mountain (Dungeshwari) in Bodh Gaya, Bihar Buddhism's sacred heart, drawing monks and devotees from across the globe for a grand celebration.
On this occasion, a special and grand program was organized near Pragya Bodhi Parvat, Sujata Academy, located in Larapur village.
A large number of Buddhist monks from India and abroad participated in the program, while hundreds of Buddhist devotees were also present.
With the unveiling of the Buddha statue, the entire area reverberated with Buddhist chants and messages of peace.
Chief organizer Monk BP Thero Jyoti said that this huge Buddha statue will become a symbol of spreading the message of peace, compassion and non-violence to the people.
He said that this place of Prajna Bodhi Mountain is the center of spiritual energy for Buddhist followers.
Special enthusiasm was seen among the devotees on this historic occasion and people described it as a moment that would increase the religious and tourism importance of Bodhgaya.
