Los Angeles, United States - December 18, 2025 12/18/2025 05:00 am GMT-0800 VAN NUYS, LOS ANGELES, Calif. – A person was taken into custody early Thursday after a stolen small plane crashed into a hangar wall at Van Nuys Airport, according to local news sources. The crash occurred around 5 a.m. when a white Cessna, stolen from a flight school, was taxiing on the tarmac and never took off, sources reported. It was unclear whether anyone suffered injuries. Los Angeles Airport Police told sources that a suspect trespassed onto airport property and accessed the plane. “LAXPD immediately responded and took the subject into custody,” the department said in a statement to the station. Logan was arrested and booked on suspicion of burglary and theft of an aircraft, according to initial reports. Both the FBI and the Los Angeles Airport Police are investigating. Shattered glass was seen in the window of the LA Flight Academy door. Flight crew members came and boarded up the broken entryway.
