This is the moment a first-time mother cat was seen by her owner precariously carrying her kitten through a tree.

Prince Olino spotted Beauty, the ginger-and-white feline, clasping the scruff of her baby's neck in her jaws as she descended a branch in Agusan del Sur, the Philippines.

Footage shows Prince approaching the mother cat as she navigated the heights on September 19.

Moments later, Beauty accidentally dropped her kitten, but Prince managed to catch the tiny feline just in time before it hit the ground. He then safely carried the kitten inside his home.

Prince said: 'Beauty is a first-time mum. She originally kept her kittens on the roof, but once they started walking, she decided to move them inside our house for safety.'
