This is the heartwarming moment a kind passerby rescued a lost kitten that was curled up under a tree.

Naphat Sukglin and his friends were strolling along a street when they spotted the cat in the central reservation in Chonburi, Thailand.

He immediately climbed onto the median strip to rescue the feline on January 13.

Footage shows Naphat on the ground, removing dry grass and leaves covering the visibly weak grey cat.

The animal attempted to run away, but the man quickly grabbed it. He then stroked the cat and comforted it before carrying it toward the roadside to show his friends waiting on the pavement.

They took the cat to a veterinary clinic, where the doctor confirmed it had a torn diaphragm, causing it to breathe with difficulty.

Naphat said: 'I adopted the cat and named it Lucky. I saw Lucky stuck under a speeding car before falling into the middle of the road. Thankfully, it managed to survive the fall. I am so happy that I was able to help.'
