Japan: USS Tripoli Conducts Flight Operations With Marines In Indo-Pacific
Japan - December 04, 2025 Indo-Pacific Region - On December 4, 2025, U.S. Marines and Navy Sailors carried out flight operations aboard the forward-deployed amphibious assault carrier USS Tripoli (LHA 7), the flagship of the Tripoli Expeditionary Strike Group. Marines from Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 265, working alongside Sailors, performed the operations as part of routine missions in the U.S. 7th Fleet Area of Operations. The flight exercises were designed to expand mission capabilities and enhance operational readiness in support of the Marine Corps’ forward-deployed force. The deployed Marine unit provides a flexible and lethal force, prepared to conduct a wide range of military operations as the primary crisis response force in the Indo-Pacific region.
