Mother monkey and baby sit in front of ticket booth
This is the amusing moment a mother monkey and her baby were spotted sitting in front of a ticket booth.
Footage shows the long-tailed macaque perched on a metal railing while cradling her baby at Zhangjiajie National Forest Park in Hunan, China, on January 6.
The primate can be seen chewing on a treat and glancing at the crowd of tourists gathered around her.
Amused by the scene, the holidaymaker filming jokingly asked the monkey which ticket she would like to buy.
Monkeys are curious animals that enjoy socialising with humans, often making themselves comfortable around them.
However, authorities advise locals to keep their distance from these wild animals, as they may attack if they feel threatened. Risks from monkey bites include serious wound infections, the herpes B virus, and rabies.
