Mother monkey shares a baguette with her baby
A mother monkey snacked on a baguette given by a tourist and shared it with her baby.
Footage shows the adult primate holding the bread in front of her offspring that took small bites off it while it clung on the side of her stomach in Siem Reap, Cambodia, on October 7.
Although there is no specific law that prohibits it, some animal rights groups discourage tourists from giving food to monkeys in Cambodia. If a monkey feels threatened or scared, it may bite or scratch, risking the spread of diseases. It can also encourage them to become dependent on humans for food, making it difficult for them to survive independently.
