Mimoň, Czechia - January 20, 2026 Kevin, a kangaroo from a private zoo, caused a surprising stir last week when he was spotted hopping along a road near the village of Mimoň. Police officers, initially called to make an announcement, were stunned to see the energetic animal navigating the streets. Kevin seemed undeterred by passing cars and followed the rules of the road as he bounced along the right side. The chase continued through local gardens, with Kevin testing the agility of the responding officers. At the exit of Bohatice, police successfully guided him away from the road and into a safer garden area. After a tense “sports maneuver” involving evasive jumps and swift movements, officers used recommended techniques to safely secure Kevin. The kangaroo is now safely back with his owner, having learned that roads are for police cars, not curious kangaroos.
