Cute but usual footage of a mother possum carrying a particularly large baby possum on her back in Australia.

The video, filmed near Sydney in New South Wales at the weekend, shows the adorable animal carrying the large youngster while running around near a school.

Possums are an Australian marsupial species and are usually nocturnal but, in this case, the mother decided to come out during the day.

In the video, the filmer can be seen approaching the animal, prompting the baby to turn around and make some kind of strange "silent scream" sounds to warn him off.

In this cute but unusual footage a mother possum is carrying its very large baby on its back. It may look like the two possums are mating, but it's actually a case of the teenager not leaving home.

Filmed at a school, there is some student noise in the background. The possums were walking through the school yard to the delight of the students. The possum was herded to the safety of the bush by the videographer.
