Footage has emerged of the Yorkshire Air Ambulance attending a police incident in West Yorkshire. The incident happened on Barnsdale Road at the junction with Station Road in Allerton Bywater, after a vehicle left the road and collided with traffic lights. According to witnesses who were first at the scene said it was an elderly gentleman who was wearing the wrong glasses and misjudged the junction. As he panicked after clipping the curb, he accidentally accelerated instead of braking, which resulted in the car being left up in the air. The driver was taken to hospital in an ambulance but didn't suffer any major injuries. His only concern was that his wife didn't find out, after only owning the car 2 days earlier. The Yorkshire Air Ambulance was stood down and left the scene without any casualties.
