Footage of the moment huge explosions struck the North China port city of Tianjin on Wednesday.

The explosions reportedly killed at least 17 people while injuring hundreds more. Local outlets report the explosions took place in a warehouse that was housing chemicals and volatile goods.

A dramatic video has emerged of the moment a massive explosion erupting at a container centre of dangerous goods in Tianjin City in northeastern China on Wednesday.

The filmer, Mr Chang who lives three kilometres away from the scene, suffered minor injuries on his arms during the shock waves caused by the explosion.

According to news reports, the successive explosions started at a warehouse of a logistics company around Wednesday midnight. So far the accident has killed 44 people with over five hundred hospitalised, including 66 under serious condition.
