Elderly Chinese man takes self-made 'supercar' for a spin on street
An elderly man caught the attention of onlookers after driving his homemade "supercar" on the street in northern China.
The video was filmed in the city of Shenyang in Liaoning Province on February 13.
A woman was heard laughing while saying: "What is this? It crossed the road illegally."
Despite its simplistic appearance, the homemade vehicle was equipped with all the necessary features of a supercar and turned heads with its speed and flair.
However, authorities have warned that personal assembly or modification of a vehicle without obtaining national certification is strictly prohibited, regardless of whether it uses legal parts produced by licensed manufacturers.
The video was provided by local media with permission.
