Nine employees from Qingdao Qianshun Investment Management Co., located on the 34th floor, took swift action, smashing the window and successfully rescuing a distressed high-rise worker, transferring him to safety in China.

The heroic video was filmed in Shandong Province on May 24.

According to Huang Xiaofang, one of the rescuers, everyone was busy in the office on the day of the incident. Suddenly, at around 9:50 am, a loud crashing sound reverberated from a locked office nearby. Shortly after, an employee rushed into their company, informing them, "A high-rise worker involved in aerial operations has had an accident and is trapped outside the 34th-floor window."

Huang said, "The situation was extremely critical. After all, we were on the 34th floor, and the safety rope seemed to be tightly wrapped around his (the high-rise worker’s) neck. He was experiencing some suffocation and lack of oxygen, his face turning purple."

Concerned about the worker's life being in imminent danger, everyone in the office quickly dialled emergency numbers. To save precious time for the trapped worker, they hurriedly retrieved any available tools from the company's storage room, preparing to break the window and rescue him.

The office staff decided to create a gap in the window, allowing the worker to extend his leg inside and step onto the window ledge. As the gap grew larger, the worker managed to fully extend one leg inside the window, finding support on the window sill.

The office employees continued their efforts, tirelessly breaking the window until eventually, the worker’s upper body was completely inside the room.

The whole rescue operation lasted about 20 minutes, and through the unwavering dedication of the group, the trapped worker was safely brought down and transferred indoors.

Following the incident, emergency medical services arrived at the scene, taking the high-rise worker to the hospital for further treatment.

Thanks to the timely rescue, the worker escaped major injuries.

In recognition of the nine employees’ heroic action, the company's chairman personally awarded the rescuers with certificates of honour and bonuses, commending their courageous behaviour in a time of need.
