An avalanche that impacted road conditions triggered the temporary closure of the Cottonwood Canyons in Utah, United States, on January 14.

The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) Cottonwood Canyons division has released a video capturing the scale of the incident, which shows the snowy landslide rolling down slopes.

The State Route 210 (SR210) remains closed due to ongoing avalanche mitigation and road operations. Multiple sections of the road were affected as avalanches swept across, leading to an extensive cleanup operation.

The UDOT Avalanche Control team (UDOTavy) is actively assessing the hazard to ensure the safety of the area.

Travelers were urged to stay informed about the situation and exercise caution in the affected areas.
