Footage of firemen rescuing a deer who got stuck in an icy pond in Ohio, USA.

The video, filmed yesterday, shows the officers saving the deer as the ice begins to crack.

The filmer later wrote online: "This video was taken in my back yard on Sunday morning; I was taking my dog out for a walk on our property.

"I then saw the deer lying on the icy pond [so] I ran back to the house to put my dog back in the house and to get my husband to see if we could get her off ourselves."

"Unable to help her I called 911," she continued.

"They dispatched the fire department to help. They then began to rescue her. If you listen to the video you can hear the ice cracking!"

We had the fire department and rescue squad show up. They then began to rescue her.if you listen to the video you can hear the ice cracking! We are so great full for our fireman! Not only do they save the lives of people they also are willing to help our wildlife. And a awesome selfie at the end of the rescue. We live in a very small town and just wanted to thank them.
