Footage has emerged from China of an escaped python which was found crawling 19 floors up a skyscraper.

Police were called to the building to rescue the reptile on August 13 in Kunming, Yunnan Province.

The snake is thought to have escaped from an apartment in the building.

Footage has emerged from China of an escaped gold python grovelling out of the window on the 19th floor of a building being rescued by police officers.

In the video, filmed in Kunming, Yunnan Province on August 13, the three-metre-long grovels on the beam out of the window on the 19th floor.

While, several people uses a rope to pull it back to the house.

The gold python was fed by a man named Li and it climbed out of the window by itself from the small gap.

Because it is national protect animal, officers sent it to the wildlife rescue centre.
