Around 9 pm on September 28, a dramatic incident occurred near the Chunjing Zichen residential area in Huicheng District, Huizhou, Guangdong. A drunk man was tightly constricted by a more than 2-metre-long python, leaving him unable to move and in a dangerous situation.

Witnesses reported that the python had brownish patterns on its back and a white belly, appearing unusually large and fierce, causing bystanders to keep their distance.

After receiving the emergency call, Huizhou police quickly responded, notifying the fire department and emergency medical personnel. Upon arriving with specialised equipment, the police and firefighters carried out a tense rescue operation. After some effort, they successfully freed the man from the python's grasp.

When rescued, the police found the man intoxicated and unable to explain how he ended up entangled by the snake. Despite the terrifying ordeal, the man was physically unharmed. Though emergency responders advised medical attention, he insisted he was fine and eventually went home with a friend.

Meanwhile, the firefighters used professional tools to capture the python, which weighed over 30 pounds and had crawled up from a nearby river. By early morning on September 29, under the guidance of the forestry department, the python was safely released back into the wild.
