A bizarre video of a busy fairground attraction in which young women get dunked into water by cheering tourists throwing tennis balls.

The footage, captured at a fair in Pattaya, Thailand, last month, shows people aiming balls at a target, which then releases the woman into a 3ft deep pool of cold water.

Each competitor pays 100 baht (2.30GBP) for five balls, and the girls are paid around 50 baht (1.14GBP).

The women working on the stall agreed to be filmed and boss running the attraction said it was a ‘’very good job’’ with a lot of people ‘’waiting to work there’’.

They told the filmer last month on November 15: ‘’We take the game to shows and carnivals at different places. It’s very popular.

''We have lots of girls to work here, they all want the job. But we don’t have enough places for them. We have to give the jobs to the girls who are the best at dancing and falling into the water.’'
