This is the moment two bodies were found in the search for a missing British businessman and his Thai wife.

The corpses were founded buried two metres deep behind a duck pond in the 32-acre grounds of the mansion owned by Alan Hogg, 64, and his wife Nott, who have been missing since last Thursday.

Police sniffer dogs located the bodies this morning.

They bodies have now been sent to hospital for post-mortem examinations and formal identification.

Three alleged hitmen have confessed to killing the couple and burying them in the garden, according to police.

Alan was allegedly blasted with a shotgun near his swimming pool while wife Nott, 61, was bludgeoned to death with a hammer in the garage of their mansion in Phrae, northern Thailand.

The three men, who have not been named, told police that they received a total of 50,000 baht (1,175GBP) from Alan's brother-in-law Warut Satchakit, 63, to carry out the murder amidst a family feud over money.

Warut was initially arrested for stealing the couple's brand new white Ford Ranger pick-up truck. It was recovered in Ayutthaya having been sold.

Warut - who had fallen out with his sister over money - denied any involvement in the murder and was released on bail but a warrant has since been made today for his arrest again.

Officers arrived at the home today at 10:30 am and used an excavator to dig an area next to the duck pond in the 32-acre grounds of Alan's gated three-storey home, which also includes a swimming pool, summerhouse, cattle farm and geese.
