This is the dramatic moment a nanny crashed into a house after mixing up the car gears.

CCTV footage shows the bungling babysitter ploughing through the glass doors of the home in Pathum Thani in central Thailand, on May 14.

The electric cart smashed into the living room, narrowly missing another babysitter carrying a toddler.

The nanny resigned over the crash, which she blamed on an accelerator malfunction.

Homeowner Preeyaporn Sirijaithum said: 'The crash occurred on May 14, while the nanny was taking my eldest child to a convenience store. I don't know how it happened, but she claimed the accelerator was stuck, causing her to crash into the house.

'I had an electrician inspect it and everything was found to be normal. The vehicle was bought just a day earlier. We think the babysitter must have shifted into the wrong gear and continued pressing on the accelerator.'

Preeyaporn added it would take 30,000 baht (700 GBP) to repair the damaged glass doors.
