Brave woman confronts man dragging injured puppy on road
This was the moment a passing woman bravely confronted a man who was dragging his helpless injured puppy along the road.
Larie Iglesia, 24, was walking to a supermarket when she saw the petrified little dog on the road in Pasig City, Philippines. She walked over to the man and says ''you asshole, the dog might die! Please help us! Can anyone please help us? Really? Why are you just watching? Plesse, the dog looks tired! Don't drag him, please!''
The puppy is cowering on the wet ground with blood pouring from a cut on its head. It also appears to be struggling to stand up while the man drags it with a chain tethered to its neck. In the video, Larie then asks her sister if she has a knife to remove the collar. ''It looks so tight. He is already injured,'' she says. Larie tells him to take care of the puppy, but he ignores her and walks away with it under his arm. She was too afraid to physically grab the puppy, but has now reported the suspected animal cruelty to police.
Speaking today, Larie said: ''My sister and I were on our way to the grocery store around 3:20 p.m., when we saw the man dragging his dog. The dog looks really tired and even has a visible head injury. We also tried taking the dog to remove the chains but it was so tight. We asked help from the people who was also there but they just looked at us. It was a really sad moment for us, to see the dog, and to ask for help but no one wants to even say a word.''
Larie said she reported the incident to the authorities. ''I pray they help the puppy,'' she added.
