In a bizarre incident, a motorist was captured driving traffic police on his car’s bonnet after he was stopped by the cop for driving on the wrong side of the road in Gurugram in Haryana, India.

The video captured by one of the road users shows the traffic cop trying to stop the car but the car driver retreats at first and then tries to speed away with it. On seeing this, the cop comes in front of the car expecting him to pull his brakes but the car driver instead of stopping his vehicle, he continues driving it and pulls the cop along on the bonnet of his car. The car can be seen driven for almost a kilometre until the driver stops the car.

The cop then held on to the wipers of the windshield but repeatedly slipped down as the car paced around 60 miles per hour. The video went viral on the social media soon after the event and has drawn critics from across the country. The people who saw the video were angered at the stubborn driver’s action and demanded an investigation against the offender.

It is being said that the motorist was unhappy about paying the fines as it was against his pride. On asking him repeatedly to pay the required fine, the enraged driver tried driving away but the policeman who didn’t want the man to leave without paying the charges stepped in front of the car only to be driven along on the car’s bonnet.

The man was later booked and a hefty fine was imposed on him. In a similar incident earlier, a toll official in Punjab in India was driven on a car's bonnet after the haughty driver refused to pay the toll tax.
