Horrific visuals have emerged from Karnataka in southern India where people were seen jumping through a line of fire with their bulls and calves on the occasion of Makar Sankranti that was observed all over India on 15th January.

The bulls and calves are prepared by adorning them with garlands and other decorative items. They are then taken for the event where they have to jump through a line of fire along with their tamers.

The line of fires is built over the road where the roads have dry straws spread over and lit up. The bulls then have to run through the line to the other side along with their tamers.

In the video captured by one of the audiences, a group of participants can be seen standing on the starting point as they get ready to cross the fire zone.

One by one they then start running through the fire along with their bulls.

The perplexed animals can be seen in a helpless state as they run into the fire and quickly evade from the other side, a bull can also be seen evading from the sideways after feeling the heat.

The event is mostly organized in southern India and is held in states like Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. This event has been widely criticized by the animal welfare organizations and they have asked the Indian government to stop such dangerous traditions.

The people say that the fire line is not entire lit up and that the fire area is too small for anybody to get injured.
