A video has emerged of a dog surviving in spite of coming under a high-speed train at the Bagila railway station of West Bengal in India.

In the video, a high-speed train can be seen approaching towards the station as a dog runs in the middle of the track.

As soon as the dog hears the horn of the train it tries to escape but finds the time too less for that.

Within seconds it can be seen being run over by the speeding engine as it can be seen being knocked down in the middle of the tracks.

It stays there for quite sometimes as one of the passengers capture the incident on his digital camera.

After the train has passed, the passengers are surprised to find it alive. It can be heard squeaking in fear as it sits patiently in the middle of the track with its tail curled.

A few passengers who spot the dog in distress first pour water on it and then one of the men can be seen coming down on the track and lifting it with his hands.

He then climbs on to the platform and places the dog in one corner. He can then be seen pouring water from a bottle on the canine to calm it down.

A close view shows the dog with minor bruises near its nose.

One of the eyewitnesses said, “It was a lucky escape, the way it was run over it should have been dead by now.”
