This is the dramatic moment a wild elephant suddenly charged a vehicle loaded with tourists in Northeast India.

The holidaymakers were returning from a safari tour near Jalpaiguri in the state of West Bengal when the angry elephant emerged from the jungle and ran at the vehicle.

In the video, which was filmed on Saturday, the driver of the jeep is able to step on the gas to get away but the elephant then heads for the rider and passenger of a motor scooter at the side of the road.

The passenger leaps from the bike and runs for it and the rider manages to quickly turn the scooter to flee in the nick of time.

The tourists' car was passing through the road between the jungle. Many people were shocked to see so close to hand. The elephant started fluttering the tail by blowing up the tail. Not only did the bus stop, but a jeep in front of it, chasing and walking quickly at some speed. A bus comes from the opposite direction. A man has seen a man escaped with a bike. Tourists were heard screameing and screamed in fear. The driver jumped in the jeep & Increase the speed. At last no one is Injured.
Honorable Wild Life Warden Seema Chowdhury, who heard the incident, told that the road was about to be raised. & She will further inquire about the incidents.
