Volunteers unload donations from Botswana for survivors of Cyclone Idai which caused widespread destruction in southern Africa and left hundreds of people dead or missing.

Members of the local startup "Fresh in a Box" took Friday afternoon (March 22) off to help with donations at a local church in Zimbabwe's capital, Harare.

The filmer wrote: "People from across the SADC (Southern African Development Community) region and Zimbabwe have come together with no governmental support to send food medicine sanitary products for women and other critical supplies to the cyclone torn regions of Zimbabwe. Help was also given by Highlands Presbyterian Church and Lions Club International."

Malawi, Mozambique and Zimbabwe have been ravaged by a cyclone that destroyed 90% of the infrastructure in some places and could affect hundreds of thousands, if not millions of people, according to experts.

All the reports suggest that the situation for emergency services there is extremely difficult.
