A heroic passenger halted a moving bus after the driver suffered a medical emergency in southwestern China.

The CCTV video, filmed in Pu’er City in Yunnan Province on March 18, shows the driver suddenly having a seizure when the bus is moving into a tunnel.

Then a man on the front seat noticed the emergency and went to press the brake and stop the bus immediately.

The driver was sent to hospital for treatment in time and is alright now.

Thanks to the man’s quick action, none of the 19 passengers in the vehicle were injured.

3月18日上午9时，普洱运输分公司驾驶人杨师傅驾驶一辆宇通大巴车（核载30人，实载19人），从普洱南部客运站发车驶往勐腊。在11时14分，当车辆行驶至勐仑藤篾山隧道时，司机突发疾病，正在行驶的车辆失去了控制，危急关头，一名男乘客当机立断上前稳住方向盘，采取制动措施，最终将车辆平稳停住了。保证了大巴车上19名乘客的安全。

经了解，小伙叫王金星，普洱人，是一名工厂的安全员。当小编向他询问，当时为什么这么勇敢上前控制住车，拯救了一车人的生命时，他回忆起当时情况说：“我之前做过安全员，在乘车过程中听到不正常的声音，随后就看到看到驾驶员双目紧闭、头靠在座椅靠背上，车已经失控开始擦着路边走，当时来不及多想，如果不上前是非常危险的，我便赶紧上前握紧方向盘，踩住刹车，控制住了大巴车。”

21日下午，云南金孔雀集团普洱分公司负责人为王金星送上了写有”临危不惧化险情 智勇双全保平安”的锦旗和现金奖励，以此表示感谢。

另外，这辆车的驾驶人已通过当地交警及时送往医院检查，现在身体已无大碍。
