Sand artist in India carves 'Get Well' message for recently ill Dalai Lama
A sand artist in eastern India carved out a well-wishing message yesterday (April 10) for the Dalai Lama who recently suffered a chest infection and was temporarily hospitalised.
Renowned Indian sand artist, Sudarsan Pattnaik, carved a thoughtful message for the ailing Dalai Lama on the beach of Puri, Odisha state reading: "Get Well Soon".
The 83-year-old Buddhist spiritual leader has been residing in exile in India for more than 60 years, and Pattnaik's message included a sandy portrait of him.
