Mother and baby rescued after jumping off ship following 'argument with husband'
This is the dramatic moment a mother and her baby were rescued after the woman jumped off a ship ‘because she had a fight with her husband’.
The incident happened off the coast of Cebu in the Philippines on May 30 in the evening.
According to passenger Jb Mamugay, they were aboard the ship bound to Dipolog City when they heard the couple arguing on the common area of the small passenger ship.
After a few minutes, another passenger called for help after seeing the mother jumping to the sea with her baby on her arm.
Mamugay said: “It’s a good thing that there was a doctor on board when it happened. She immediately gave the two CPR and she was able to revive the baby who was badly hurt."
The mother and her seven-month-old baby were immediately taken to the nearest hospital and they are both now in stable condition.
