How would like to go to a place where there are tens of thousands of red-sided garter snakes all in the same place at the same time? They’re here at the Narcisse Snake Dens in Manitoba, Canada, and I’m going to fulfill a childhood dream of mine to go see them! .
More about the Narcisse Snake Dens:the Narcisse Snake Dens are the winter home of tens of thousands of red-sided garter snakes (Thamnophis sirtalis parietalis). These pits are the largest concentration in the world of this particular type of snake. Their winter dens are subterranean caverns formed by the area's water-worn limestone bedrock. In the spring, they come up from their dens to the snake pits, where they mate.
