This is the miraculous moment a pensioner motorcyclist survives after being run over by a truck.

Samak Puek-haew, 77, was riding on his scooter waiting to make a u-turn at the intersection in Chonburi, eastern Thailand on Monday (08/07) morning.

Dash cam footage from around 9 am shows the elderly man approach the turn bus topping in the centre of the road, directly in front of a ten wheeled truck.

However, the driver appeared not to see the pensioner and edged formed, knocking over the pensioner and driving over him.

Filmer Phasawat Tantiviboonwong, 34, honked his horn to alert the truck driver. He immidiately stopped the driver after being aware of the shocking crash.

The damaged motorbike was crushed and went under the truck while the lucky driver was carried away with cuts and bruises.

The trucker apologised for careless driving before paying an undisclosed amount as compensation to the victim.

Speaking after, Samak said: ''I was going to buy something at the market and about to make a u-turn. I probably stopped too close to the truck, so that he didn't see me.

''I understand that he really didn't mean it and he was also very responsible. So, I let him go without pressing charges.''
