This is the heart-stopping moment a motorcycle rider barely dived away from an out-of-control garbage truck barreling down a wet road in Thailand.

The motorist named Thach was at an intersection waiting to merge with oncoming traffic when the truck came hurtling towards him.

CCTV shows how the dumpster rammed his vehicle in Bangkok on July 13.

Thach managed to jump away with mere seconds before the collision wrecked his bike. The truck then overturned while careering across the slippery road. It overturned and blocked other cars from passing.

The quick-thinking rider with lighting-fast reflexes said: "I almost died. Be careful. It's raining and the road is slippery. You may not be as lucky as I am."

Thach added he plans to buy a new motorcycle to replace the old one.

Police arrived at the scene to investigate. The drivers were questioned and the blamed the rainstorm for making the road slippery.
