Scary moment overcrowded stage caves in during political rally in central India
This is the scary moment an overcrowded stage caved in during a political rally in central India.
The incident took place in Sagar city of Madhya Pradesh on Sept. 23.
Visuals showed the overcrowded stage crashing down ensuing chaos.
Reports said a woman was injured during the incident and was rushed to the hospital where she is undergoing treatment.
The rally was organised by workers of the Bharatiya Janata Party and attended by Bhupendra Singh, the former home minister of the state.
According to reports, 25 people were on the stage when Singh got up. Seeing him there, another 49 people too climbed the podium.
About four minutes since his speech started, the podium came crashing down.
The minister did not sustain any injury though he was rushed to the hospital.
