Amid the Covid-19 crisis and lockdown, some political leaders distributed essential items like food and medical supplies to the needy people in central India's Madhya Pradesh on May 24. The incident took place in Tikamgarh.

A video features the officials all set to commence their initiative of serving the needy ones in society in broad daylight. Following this, they assemble all the necessary items and distribute them to the locals standing in a queue. Moreover, they take this decision as people are striving to get them amid the lockdown.

Tikamgarh's Member of Parliament (MP), Dr. Virendra Kumar, and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Youth Front leader Rajendra Tiwari, together with some public representatives took the initiative to help the less-privileged people by providing them the essential items needed during the pandemic. During the 45-day Covid-19 curfew, several people faced problems getting the necessary supplies for themselves as well as their family, following which the authorities came up with this idea to help them in sustaining their life.
