A car ploughed into pedestrians after running a red light at a busy intersection in Shanghai, killing at least five and injuring nine.
The shocking video, captured on Thursday (October 24), shows a white car suddenly speeding into the people who were crossing a road.
The aftermath clip shows the car being damaged seriously and the injured people lying on the ground.
According to reports, the 63-year-old car driver named Chen bumped into a taxi and a scooter after running a red light.
Chen then sped up to escape, running another red light and hitting an SUV, three non-motor vehicles and several passengers.
Chen was injured and is being treated in hospital. At least five people died and nine injured in the incident. The case is being investigated.
