This is the amazing moment an army of black termites formed a chain as they marched along the ground. Nature lover Watcharit Wirunpruek was visiting his brother when he noticed the insects on a rubber farm in Songkhla, southern Thailand last Monday (28/10) afternoon.

Watcharit's video shows the black termites, or Hospitalitermes, crawling several metres along the path to a rotten log at the roadside where they were nesting. He said he was intrigued by the unusual appearance of the termites. Watcharit added: "I saw this kind of termite before when I was a kid.

"They were different from the termites that attack people's houses, as those were white but these termites were black and only found in the forest like this."
