A 68-year-old scooter rider luckily escaped serious injury after being knocked over and dragged by a truck for around three-metres in eastern China.

The CCTV video, shot in the city of Zhenjiang in Jiangsu Province on November 10, shows a truck knocking over an elderly woman on a scooter and dragging her under the wheels.

Since the truck driver realised what happened, he stopped the vehicle immediately and the pensioner can be seen crawling out from underneath the vehicle.

Fortunately, the elderly woman only had scratches but her scooter was flattened by the truck.

The truck driver was blamed for the incident, according to the police.

10 日上午 9 时许，施老太驾驶电动自行车沿扬中市 238 省道西侧非机动车道由北向南行驶，经过西来桥镇港北西路路口时，正好遇上绿灯，于是她继续向前骑行。谁知，一场意外就在此刻降临。
当时，在施老太左侧的机动车道上，一辆与她同向行驶的重型仓栅式半挂车，在行经 238 省道港北西路路口时正好右转，由于货车右侧有视线盲区，加之司机疏于观察，货车在右转弯时将施老太连人带车带倒，施老太瞬间被卷入车头底部。
事故发生后，大货车司机董某有所察觉，立即踩下刹车。在将施老太往前推行两三米后，货车停了下来。庆幸的是，在几秒之后，施老太竟然自己从车底爬了出来，惊魂未定的她脸色煞白。

接到报警后，交警立即赶赴现场，交警先询问了施老太的状况，万幸的是，她并无大碍，只受了点皮外伤。经过现场勘查，施老太的电动自行车头部已被货车左前轮压扁，路面上有长约 3 米的刹车痕迹。经交警认定，该起事故由货车司机董某负全部责任。
