A transport truck fell into a sinkhole that opened up underneath it in southern China's Anxi county on November 28.

The CCTV footage shows a truck suddenly tipping over and falling into a sinkhole after the road underneath it collapsed.

According to reports, the sinkhole was around ten-metres-long and five-metres-wide. Fortunately, the truck driver was not injured.

The collapsed area was reportedly not a part of the road before. Since there was a height difference between the shops on the roadside and the road, the shop owners used the concrete to fill it up by themselves.

A digger and two cranes were sent to lift the truck out of the sinkhole. The case is being investigated.

11月28日上午，福建安溪剑斗镇县道340线与剑斗新街的路口处，沙土货车压塌路面侧翻，监控拍下惊险瞬间。目击者称，听到很大响声车就掉下去，“一个涵洞出来了”。
路面上出现了长约十米、宽约五米的塌陷，货车几乎都陷在里头，只有车头还露在地面上。幸好事故发生时，驾驶员并未受伤，事发区域周围也没有群众被波及。


据初步了解，这段路面并非马路原有的一部分，马路与路边商家之间原本存在一定高低差，个别商家为了停车和行走方便，私自用水泥浇灌，从马路上延伸出了一片“路面”来。由于这片“路面”本身就不具备足够的结构支撑，货车缓慢经过时，“路面”支撑不住车体和石块的重量，于是坍塌了。

当日下午4时30分左右，现场调集一辆挖掘机和两辆起重机，先将事故工程货车的沙土清理，最后才将事故车辆吊上路面，并移离现场，并对现场塌方路面加强警戒。
