Mentally-unstable man endangers lives of passengers by trying to stop flight take-off, damages helicopter in central India

mentally unstable man was detained by airport authorities after he damaged a stationed helicopter by pelting stones and sitting in front of a flight before its take-off in the central Indian state of Madhya Pradesh.

The incident took place on February 2 in Bhopal's Raja Bhoj Airport.

According to the reports, the man had allegedly damaged the nose cone of a stationed helicopter and stopped a SpiceJet flight by trying to run towards the middle of a runway.

The 20-year old intruder was later detained by the Central Industrial Security Force(CISF) and handed over to the police.

Reports also state that due to the incident the Udaipur-bound flight was delayed by an hour.
