Passenger with child slips while boarding moving train, quick-thinking officials pull them to safety

A passenger carrying a small child in his lap slipped while trying to board a moving train and became trapped between the train and platform. Quick-thinking RPF officials intervened and rescued both the passenger and the child safely.

The incident took place at Prayag Junction railway station in northern India's Uttar Pradesh on January 18.

Visuals show that a passenger holding a child attempted to board the moving Kashi Express (Train No. 15018) when he slipped into the gap between the train and the platform. Alert RPF personnel acted swiftly, rescuing both the passenger and the child and bringing them to safety unharmed.

According to reports, a potentially serious incident was prevented at Prayag Railway Station on Sunday during the departure of train number 15018, the Kashi Express. A passenger carrying a small child in his arms slipped while trying to board the moving train and fell into the gap between the platform and the train. Quick action by RPF personnel ensured the safety of both the passenger and the child.

Inspector In-charge Alok Maurya, Woman Head Constable Neetu Singh, Constable Indrajeet, and Constable Naveen were instrumental in the rescue operation. Both individuals were unharmed and the passenger later boarded the train to continue his journey.

The entire incident was recorded on CCTV cameras at Prayag Station. DRM Sunil Kumar Verma of Northern Railway commended the prompt, dedicated, and brave efforts of the RPF team. The railway authorities urged passengers to avoid boarding or alighting from moving trains and to always prioritize safety while at stations.
