Swaying to the rhythms of Royal sword dance, 2126 dancers secured their place into Guinness book of records in the western Indian state of Gujarat.

The majestic event which spoke of the legacy of the Rajputs took place on January 28 in the town of Rajkot.

The poised and regal clatter of the swords swung their way through the crowd of dancers in the alluring Talwar Raas or Sword dance conducted by the Rajkot Royal family association.

The Guinness record for "the most people dancing with the swords "was received by the Prince of Rajkot, Maddhatta Singh Jadeja on completion of the captivating twirls on behalf of all the participants.

The Prince later stated that this victory belonged to the rich tradition, valour, and legacy of the royalties of India.

The spellbound audience was also taken to charismatic tales of bravery and heritage through the hearty and gallant act performed by the thousands.
